LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech volleyball will play in its last spring event this Saturday, April 21, when it heads to Plano, Texas, for a pair of matches at MadFrog Volleyball Gym. The Red Raiders will take on Tulsa at 1:30 p.m., and Big 12 rival Baylor at 3:30 p.m.
Â
"We're looking forward to playing again this weekend and finishing our spring in Dallas," head coach Tony Graystone said. "We've had a really successful offseason, and I'm excited to see how we play against Tulsa and Baylor."
Â
The event wraps up a successful spring season for the Red Raiders, who have yet to drop a set during spring play.
Â
Coming off its most successful season since 2001, Tech has won all eight spring contests in straight sets, including triumphs of Angelo State alumnae, Cisco College, Ranger College, and Angelo State in San Angelo last Saturday.
Â
The Hurricane finished 15-17 in 2017 with a 9-11 record in the American Athletic Conference. Meanwhile, the Lady Bears finished 24-7 last season with a 13-3 record in the Big 12, advancing to the second round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
