Texas Tech announced a partnership with Zipwhip Wednesday to enable a text message service
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics announced Wednesday a new partnership with Zipwhip, a Seattle-based company that will allow Red Raider fans to connect with the Tech Ticket Office through a simple text message.
Â
Tech has already launched the service as fans can now inquire about ticket sales by texting their name and question directly to the Tech Ticket Office's main extension at 806-742-TECH. Sales representatives will be ready to assist fans with any ticket-related questions during normal business hours (8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday).
Â
The partnership with Zipwhip will enable Tech to connect directly with fans, while also improving customer service efforts at the same time. In addition, the service will allow Tech to provide instant updates for ticket deadlines as well as game time changes to fans who have already texted the 806-742-TECH number.
Â
Tech is one of several schools from across the country who have already partnered with Zipwhip. The company also has a large roster of clients from numerous professional teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLS.
Â
Season tickets for the 2018 football season are currently on sale through the Tech Ticket Office at just $190 a seat or just $38 a month for fans who take advantage of the five-month, interest-free payment plan that is offered once again this year. Tech welcomes the likes of Lamar, Houston, West Virginia, Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma to Jones AT&T Stadium as part of its six-game home slate this fall.
Â
Fans can also purchase tickets for the Sept. 1 season-opening AdvoCare Texas Kickoff in Houston where the Red Raider will face Ole Miss at NRG Stadium. Tickets start for as low as $52 a person and Red Raider fans are encouraged to purchase through the Tech Ticket Office, which still has premium seating available directly behind the Red Raiders' bench area.
