Texas Tech hosts Houston at 3:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon inside Jones AT&T Stadium
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will return to Jones AT&T Stadium Saturday afternoon when the Red Raiders host Houston at 3:15 p.m. in front of a nationally televised audience on FOX.

Texas Tech Athletics strives to provide fans one of the best gameday experiences in the country. Here's a list of items to know for Saturday's game:

TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SATURDAY
Tickets for Saturday's game are still available through the Texas Tech Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets either by visiting the online ticket portal at TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH. The Tech Ticket Office will open its main location on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Fans can also visit the two other box office locations located near Gate 1 and 3 of the stadium (northwest and southwest corners).

GAMEDAY TIMELINE
Premium areas and the student gate will open at 1 p.m. Saturday, while the remaining gates to Jones AT&T Stadium are slated to open at 1:30 p.m. for ticket holders. Fans are encouraged to find their seats prior to the Goin' Band from Raiderland's entrance, which is slated to begin at roughly 3 p.m.

TEXAS TECH TO HONOR FAMILY OF LATE GABE RIVERA
Texas Tech will honor the family of the late Gabe Rivera during halftime Saturday. Rivera, known best as Señor Sack during his Red Raider career from 1979-82, passed away July 16 at the age of 57. He remains one of the most decorated football student-athletes in school history as he was named to the College Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Texas Tech Ring of Honor in 2014. Over his career, Rivera compiled 321 tackles, including 34 that went for a loss en route to earning Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-America honors in 1982. He earned his Señor Sack nickname for his ability to reach the quarterback after recording 14 sacks over his career. Rivera went on to be selected 21st overall in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Red Raiders are wearing a special helmet sticker this season to honor Rivera.

TAKE-A-KID INITIATIVE RETURNS FOR 24TH-CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Texas Tech Athletics, in partnership with the Student Government Association and Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, will participate in the Take-a-Kid to the Game promotion for the 24th-consecutive year Saturday. This opportunity will allow more than 1,900 area youth and their sponsors to take in gameday and interact with current Red Raider students.

CODY TO LEAD THE RED RAIDERS ONTO THE FIELD AGAIN
Texas Tech will have "Cody" once again filling in as the Masked Rider horse Saturday afternoon in place of "Fearless Champion," who is still recovering from an injury. Cody made his debut in the Lamar game after a week of preparation with Masked Rider Lyndi Starr and Dr. Sam Jackson, a professor in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

POM SQUAD, RAIDERS ROJOS TO BE RECOGNIZED
Texas Tech will recognize its National Champion pom squad as well as members of Raiders Rojas, a national alumni chapter that seeks to promote the retention and graduation attainment of Hispanic students within the Texas Tech University System.

STAY COOL WITH REFUELING STATIONS
Fans will once again be allowed to bring an unopened 20 ounce (or less) bottle of water into any outdoor athletics venue on campus this year. Please note that frozen water will not be allowed through the stadium gates. Empty cups, opened bottles and other drinking containers other than 20 ounce (or less) bottles will not be permitted as well.

In addition, Texas Tech has installed water stations throughout the concourse area for fans to refuel water bottles throughout the game. Texas Tech will continue to have cooling stations on the concourse to assist fans with heat-related issues. These stations will be shaded and stocked with cold towels, circulating fans and sun screen. Fans can find heat management stations inside gates 1, 3, 4 and 6.

CATCH THE RED RAIDERS ON THEIR WAY TO WARMUPSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Red Raiders will continue to utilize the walkway between the Sports Performance Center and Jones AT&T Stadium to access their gameday locker room roughly 85 minutes to kickoff. Coach Kingsbury and the Red Raiders will walk directly through the Sports Performance Center and enter the stadium through the doors directly under the Double T scoreboard. Fans are invited to greet the Red Raiders as they enter the stadium beginning around 1:45 p.m. Saturday.

CLEAR BAG POLICY
Texas Tech's clear bag policy will remain in effect for all athletic venues during the 2018-19 athletic year. Fans will be able to bring the following style and size bag or package into the venue:
LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL COLISEUM TO BE USED IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
In cases of inclement weather, Texas Tech advises fans in the tailgate areas to take shelter inside the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The coliseum will open in case of inclement weather for every home game this season. Fans should stay tuned in to Double T 97.3 FM on the radio and @TexasTechFB on Twitter for weather updates, if needed. As a reminder, umbrellas are not permitted inside Jones AT&T Stadium.

- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
