LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team captured a 4-3 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs at the McLeod Tennis Center on Saturday.
Â
The Lady Raiders improved to 9-4 on the year and 4-0 at home with the win.
Â
After falling behind early by surrendering the doubles point to the Horned Frogs, Tech would bounce in singles play by taking four of the six matches to secure the victory.
Â
Freshman Olivia Peet began Tech's run in singles matches, as she picked up her fifth win of the year with a 6-2, 6-4 victory on court five. Senior Lana Rush also continued her hot start to the spring, as she rattled off a 6-2, 7-6(4) win to give the Lady Raiders their second point of the afternoon.

Down 2-3 with two matches to go, Denise-Antonela Stoica kept hopes alive for the Lady Raiders with a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 comeback victory to tie the match at three points. Tech's hopes would reside with senior Felicity Maltby who, upon completion of all other singles matches, found herself in a third-set tiebreaker with her opponent on court one.
