Felicity Maltby Advances to Round of 32

Senior advances to second round for third straight season
ORLANDO, Fla. – For the third straight year, senior Felicity Maltby has advanced to the Round of 32 at the NCAA Singles Championship Monday afternoon.
No. 22 Maltby clinched a spot in the second round after defeating No. 18 Christina Rosca of Vanderbilt in straight sets. She cruised to a 6-2 win in the opening set before fighting off Rosca in the second to clinch the match, 7-5. The win marked her eighth over a ranked opponent this season.
Maltby will face Aiwen Zhu (UNLV) tomorrow in the Round of 32. A start time will be determined later this evening. The two previously met during the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
