The Red Raiders will be televised on ESPN and Fox Sports Network platforms.
LUBBOCK, Texas – With 15 days until the start of the Red Raiders' 2019 season, a pair of Texas Tech volleyball matches have been selected to air on ESPNU while three other contests are scheduled to broadcast on FOX Sports Networks.
Â
Tech's ESPNU broadcasts begin with the Red Raiders' 6 p.m. matchup against West Virginia on Sept. 25 and will close with Tech's in-state showdown against Texas at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Â
The Red Raiders will also appear on Fox Sports Networks against Houston on Sept. 20, Kansas on Oct. 16 and finally Iowa State on Nov. 20. First serve for all three matches is set for 6 p.m. Tech's remaining home matches will be streamed live through TexasTech.TV.
Â
"We are very happy about our expanded television coverage this season and are excited to play in front of a much larger audience," head coach Tony Graystone said. "As our program has improved and grown over the last couple of seasons, the interest in Red Raider volleyball outside of Lubbock has grown as well. This is a great opportunity for those fans to see us play in some big matches."
Â
The Red Raiders welcome New Mexico State to United Supermarkets Arena for a 10 a.m. exhibition match on Sunday, Aug. 18, before putting on their annual Red & Blake Scrimmage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. Tech set to begin their 2019 campaign against VCU in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, Aug. 30.
