Volleyball Ready for Annual Red & Black Scrimmage

The Texas Tech volleyball team will play at home for the last time until mid-September.
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech volleyball team is scheduled to play five sets in its annual Red & Black scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 24. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. at United Supermarkets Arena.

Free admission will be available for the Red Raiders' last home event before the team embarks on a 10-match road swing to open the 2019 season. Â

Tech returns the bulk of its roster from 2018 and seven new faces will grace the floor at United Supermarkets Arena. All-Conference honorees Emily Hill and Brooke Kanas, as well as returners Allison White, Emerson Solano, Chandler Atwood and Karrington Jones, highlight a strong group of veteran Red Raiders. Additionally, sophomore Alex Kirby will take on a new role as Tech's go-to setter.

Fans will also get the opportunity to scout a talented group of freshmen – Cadi Boyer, Lauren Dodson, Lindsey Dodson, Caitlin Dugan, Kylie Trefflich and Audrey Tuttle – as well as sophomore transfer Tatum Rohme.
