Red Raider Basketball With Chris Beard Returns Thursday

LUBBOCK, Texas – "Red Raider Basketball with Chris Beard" returns for its second week at 7 p.m. on Thursday live from Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q with host Geoff Haxton.
Beard and Haxton are in their fourth year together on the show and will preview Saturday's matchup against Iowa State and recap Tuesday's road win at Kansas State. The Red Raiders (2-2 Big 12) host the Cyclones at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the United Supermarkets Arena. Doors will open 90 minutes before tip-off on Saturday.Â
Texas Tech is currently ranked No. 23 in the nation with an 11-5 overall record that includes a win over then No. 1-ranked Louisville and a 35-point victory over Oklahoma State in its Big 12 opener. The Red Raiders are coming off their most historic season in program history when they won the Big 12 regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA Final Four and NCAA National Championship Final.
Fans attending Thursday's show will have an opportunity to receive game tickets, promotional items and interact with Beard. In his fourth season leading the program, Beard is 87-36 overall, 58-6 at home and is the reigning Associated Press National Coach of the Year along with being named the Big 12 Coach of the Year the past two seasons.Â
