Red Raiders in the NFL: Week 14
December 15, 2020 | Football
Four Red Raiders collide in Miami, Amendola achieves milestone.
Mahomes shook off a slow start and helped the Chiefs rally from a 10-point deficit for a 33-27 win over the Dolphins on Sunday, improving to 12-1 on the season. Mahomes finished the game with 393 passing yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-34 throwing. His 393 passing yards put him over 4,000 on the season making him the third player in NFL history to reach that mark in three of their first four seasons.
ÂI mean, @PatrickMahomes just threw off his backfoot half the field on a go-route run by @tkelce, a tight end who is currently leading the league in receiving.

I don't know if we can quite comprehend the greatness we are witnessing.

Washington led the Dolphins in rushing attempts with 13 and rushing yards with 35 in their 33-27 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. Washington also hauled in two passes for 17 yards. Washington saw 47 percent of the team's offensive snaps on Sunday despite being inactive last week.

Amendola led the Lions in receiving with six receptions for 66 yards in their 31-24 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Amendola passed Wayne Chrebet for the fourth-most receptions ever by an undrafted player.
Â
ÂDanny Amendola grew up idolizing Wayne Chrebet. Had his poster, coveted his jersey from the Eastbay catalogue, wore No. 80.

Sunday, he passed Chrebet for the fourth-most receptions by an undrafted player. And Chrebet texted to say he was proud of him.https://t.co/DOgCQar11K
Keke Coutee – WR, Houston Texans
Coutee caught three passes for 24 yards and the lone touchdown for the Texans in their 36-7 loss to the Bears on Sunday. Coutee has played well in his last four games, recording 15 catches, 192 yards and two touchdowns.

Bill O'Brien will forever be ripped for the Hopkins trade and he should be but also burying Keke Coutee on the bench was an egregious blunder.

Keke is a baller. #Texans
Jakeem Grant – WR, Miami Dolphins
Grant caught three passes for 32 yards in the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. He exited the game with a leg injury and is questionable for next week against the Patriots. Grant currently ranks third on the team with 330 receiving yards on the year and is third in the NFL in average yards per punt return.
Â
Sam Eguavoen – LB, Miami Dolphins
Eguavoen started at linebacker for the Dolphins in their 33-27 loss to the Chiefs Sunday. However, he did not record a tackle.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks
Brooks played just 18 snaps and did not record a tackle in the Seahawks' 40-3 win over the Jets on Sunday. Brooks did have a sack, but it was negated due to a penalty in the secondary. Brooks saw less snaps as Seattle ran more nickel defense with the lead. The first-rounder was coming off his best game and appears to be progressing well in the Seattle system.
ÂWith Jordyn Brooks coming off of "by far" his best game, #Seahawks fans should be encouraged by the team's first-round pick.https://t.co/Mkd1oCSbp7

Terence Steele – OL, Dallas Cowboys
The undrafted free agent made the start at right tackle during the Cowboys' 30-7 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Steele has been steadily improving over the last several weeks.
ÂIt hasn't always been pretty, but #Cowboys RT Terrence Steele has allowed just five total pressures over the last five weeks, according to @PFF
— Marcus Mosher (@Marcus_Mosher) December 14, 2020
He still has a long ways to go, but there are signs of life.
Steele hasn't allowed a sack since Week 8.
Dakota Allen – LB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen recorded a tackle in the Jaguars' 31-10 loss to the Titans on Sunday. Allen had been inactive the past few weeks with a hamstring injury but returned to the field this week. Â
Â
Cameron Batson – WR, Tennessee Titans
Batson was active but did not see the ball during the Titans' 31-10 win over Jaguars on Sunday. Batson recorded his first career touchdown last week, but was used more as a run blocker this week, helping running back Derrick Henry eclipse 200 yards in the game.
Â
Cody Davis – S, New England Patriots
Davis was active but did not record a stat in the Patriots' 24-3 loss to the Rams on Thursday night. Davis blocked a field goal which was returned for a touchdown last week.
Â
Broderick Washington – DL, Baltimore Ravens
Washington was inactive on Monday during the Ravens' wild 47-42 win over the Browns. He has now missed the last four games.
Â
HEAD COACHES
Kliff Kingsbury – Arizona Cardinals
Kingsbury and the Cardinals improved to 7-6 and broke a three-game losing streak with a 26-7 win over the Giants on Sunday. Kingsbury's defense recorded eight sacks, five of which came from linebacker Hassan Reddick. Reddick's performance set a franchise record for sacks by a single player in a game. Kingsbury's offense impressed as well, recording over 400 yards of offense. Â
Â
Anthony Lynn – Los Angeles Chargers
Lynn and the Chargers improved to 4-9 as they kicked a game-winning field goal to beat the Falcoins, 20-17, on Sunday. Lynn's defense forced three interceptions while the offense did their part recording almost 350 yards for the game.
Â
