Tickets on sale now for Red Raider Club Kickoff Luncheon

Annual event will feature head coach Joey McGuire and members of the reigning Big 12 champion football team
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will celebrate the start of another highly-anticipated football season Aug. 20 when head coach Joey McGuire headlines the annual Red Raider Club Kickoff Luncheon inside Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
The Kickoff Luncheon is annually one of the top events on the Texas Tech calendar, drawing capacity crowds to hear from not only McGuire but also Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt, President Lawrence Schovanec and a panel of Red Raider football student-athletes, among others. This will be the main opportunity for Red Raider fans to hear from McGuire before Texas Tech kicks off the 2026 season as the reigning Big 12 Conference champions.
Doors will open at 11:15 a.m. with the program starting around noon inside the main exhibit hall to Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The Goin' Band from Raiderland as well as the Texas Tech Spirit Squads will both perform prior to the program. Members from the Texas Tech cross country, volleyball and soccer programs will join with the Red Raider football team in attendance to highlight the start of the 2026-27 athletic year.
