GAME UPDATE: Red Raiders, Cowboys Set For 3 p.m. Tip on Jan. 2

LUBBOCK, Texas – The first game of 2021 for the Texas Tech men's basketball team will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2 against Oklahoma State at the United Supermarkets Arena. The game will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
The Red Raiders are 4-4 against the Cowboys under head coach Chris Beard with the two teams splitting last year's series with the home team winning each time. Tech had won three in a row over OSU before falling 73-70 in the matchup in Stillwater on Feb. 25, 2020 in the last game played between the two programs.
The Cowboys (6-2, 0-2 Big 12) took a 77-74 loss at Texas on Sunday and will not play again until traveling to Lubbock on the second day of the 2021 calendar. Texas Tech (6-2, 0-1 Big 12) will play Oklahoma at 6 p.m. on Tuesday (ESPN 2) in Norman, Oklahoma and then again on Tuesday, Dec. 29 against Incarnate Word in a non-conference game at the USA.
