Texas Tech’s spring football game on April 10 will not occur as originally scheduled
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics announced Monday that its 2020 spring football game will not occur on April 10 as originally scheduled out of concern for the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the Lubbock community.
Â
In addition, Texas Tech has canceled its Fan Fest event for April 4. The event was originally set to include an open scrimmage as well as a youth clinic and autograph session with the Red Raiders.
Â
The Big 12 Conference has suspended all athletic-related activities through at least March 29, which includes all spring football practices. That policy will be re-evaluated at that time.
