Andy Rynd and Kendall Bosse have joined the Red Raider volleyball staff.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech head volleyball coach Tony Graystone announced Thursday the completion of his coaching staff with the additions of Andy Rynd and Kendall Bosse.
Â
Rynd, who comes to Tech from Ohio University, will serve in a new role as the team's video coordinator. A former standout at Abilene Christian, Bosse will take over as the Red Raiders' volunteer assistant.
Â
"We are excited to welcome Andy and Kendall and make them the final additions to our staff," Graystone said. "It's been a great transition and we are getting better every day because of their contributions."
Â
Andy Rynd – Video Coordinator
"Andy is filling our newly created Video Coordinator position and is responsible for all filming, editing and statistical analysis," Graystone explained. "His background and familiarity with the programs we have made him a great fit and it's going to be good to have more information and video available to assist with our training."
Â
Rynd comes to Texas Tech after serving two seasons as a graduate manager for the Ohio volleyball program. While earning his master's degree, he was responsible for in-game statistics, video coordination, team travel and summer camps.
Â
Prior to his time in Ohio, Rynd spent the previous two seasons at Arkansas, serving as the program's volunteer assistant coach. In addition to training and on-court coaching, he handled the Razorbacks' scouting film and video exchange. Rynd is no stranger to the Mid-American Conference, having spent the 2014 season as a volunteer assistant coach at Bowling Green and then serving as director of operations for the Falcons in '15.
Â
Rynd, who graduated from Bowling Green in 2015 with a degree in exercise science, spent fall of 2014 as a strength and conditioning intern for the Falcons and summer of '15 as a strength and conditioning intern at Penn State.
Â
Kendall Bosse – Volunteer Assistant
"Kendall is our new volunteer assistant and will be more hands-on with on-court training and learning the day to day operations of the program," Graystone said. "Kendall was a very successful player at ACU and is already making a difference in our gym."
Â
Bosse comes to Texas Tech after playing professional volleyball overseas. As the new volunteer assistant, Bosse will assists with practice and match planning, stats and video breakdown, team meals and meetings and data collection during matches.
During her time as a setter/opposite with the Wildcats, Bosse received Southland Conference First Team All-Conference laurels in 2018, as well as All-Tournament Team honors in 2017. She was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll all four seasons and earned Southland Conference First Team All-Academic honors in 2018.Â
Â
After graduating with honors, Bosse played professional volleyball with Svedala Volleybollklubb in Skåne län, Sweden, from September to December of 2019.
