Meet the Lady Raiders: Alexis Tucker
June 22, 2020 | Women's Basketball
We sat down with Lady Raider basketball player Alexis Tucker to get to know the Texas Tech sophomore a little better off the court!
What made you want to come to Texas Tech?Â
I was sold from the official visit. I thought it would be cool to play for a Power 5 school too. The campus is beautiful, I really liked the area and the number of fans I could have potentially played in front of. The coaches provided a welcoming environment for me and my parents. Once it came down to making a decision Tech beat out a lot of the other programs.Â
Â
What is your favorite sport outside of basketball?Â
Although basketball is my favorite sport, I would be interested in playing tennis, football for the LFL, volleyball or run track.Â
Â
Do you have any hidden talents?Â
No, not that I'm aware of.Â
If you could pick one superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?Â
That's kinda hard. Either magnetokinesis (magnetism manipulation) or telekinesis if I was a character in Marvel. If I had to choose one for real life then I would choose teleportation.Â
I wouldn't use magnetism manipulation for any particular reason, but telepathic resistance, magnetic pulse and superhuman strength are few of the many abilities that would come with having this power which I find really cool. I would use telekinesis to move or control objects with my mind and teleportation to travel to different places around the world.Â
Â
If you could pick one famous person to meet, who would it be?Â
male- Kevin Durant female-Beyoncé Â
Â
What is your go-to pregame music?Â
I don't have one. I have mixed music taste.Â
Â
What is your biggest fear?Â
The fear of the unknownÂ
What is your favorite meal?Â

Dogs or cats?Â
