Big 12 Freshman of the Week (Nov. 18, Jan. 13)
Notes: Made appearances in all 29 games for the Lady Raiders as a freshman … Averaged 23.5 minutes per game and made 10 starts … Finished her first season in Lubbock averaging 10.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and a team-leading 53.8 field goal percentage, which would be third in the Big 12 had she recorded enough attempts … Added a pair of double doubles on the year … Recorded 17 games of 10 points or more and three games of 20-or-more points … Posted 15 games of five-plus rebounds … Swiped multiple steals in nine games … Recorded multiple blocks in three appearances … Led Tech in scoring five times and in steals six times … Twice named Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Highlights: Recorded a double double in her first career game, scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds along with two steals in the win over Sam Houston State … Nearly had her second-straight double double with 17 points and nine rebounds in the rout of Florida A&M … Posted 22 points and nine rebounds along with five assists in her first career game away from home, helping Tech knock off Purdue Fort Wayne in San Diego … Helped push Texas Tech to its first-ever Women’s Big 12/SEC Challenge victory, and the largest margin of victory in the event’s history, adding 17 points and 15 rebounds for her second double double of the season … Recorded 16 points and nine rebounds in the win over Houston Baptist … Turned in one of her best games to date in the win over Arkansas Pine Bluff, adding 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and a career-high seven steals … Had 18 points and six rebounds in the victory over Louisiana Monroe … Had 12 points and nine rebounds to help Tech to its first win at TCU in seven years.

Alexis Tucker is a 5-11 wing from Hawthorne, Calif. This four-star recruit is the 12th-ranked player in her position and ranks in the top 70 amongst the 2019 class.
Tucker played for the Cal Sparks Club, the Nike Girls Elite Youth Basketball program. She also plays for Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Calif. Last season, Tucker helped her high school team to the CIF Division I California State Championship. Following the season, Tucker was named First Team All-CIF and was a semifinalist for the 2017 USA Women's U16 National Team Trials.
