Patrick Mahomes II – QB, Kansas City Chiefs
After leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win and earning Super Bowl MVP honors, Mahomes and the Chiefs opened the 2020 NFL season on Thursday night with an emphatic 34-20 win over the Texans.

Danny Amendola – WR, Detroit Lions
Amendola was the Lions' leading receiver on the day with five receptions for 81 yards as Detroit dropped a narrow contest to the Bears.

Kerry Hyder – DL, San Francisco 49ers
Listed as the backup to start defensive end Nick Bosa, Hyder recorded the first sack of the season for the 49ers as he brought down Kyler Murray early in the third quarter. He finished with three tackles, the sack, and two quarterback hurries in San Francisco's 24-20 loss to Arizona.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks
The rookie first rounder made his debut Sunday in a 38-25 win for the Seahawks. He was credited with one tackle, but impressed in his limited action.
Should be noted, that Mayowa sack was set up by Jordyn Brooks taking down Julio Jones on a clean tackle.

Terence Steele – OL, Dallas Cowboys
The undrafted rookie earned started for the Cowboys in their season opener, filling in for the injured La'el Collins.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said he believes Cowboys are in "good shape" at right tackle. Undrafted rookie Terence Steele started. Had some learning moments, including in two-minute offense at end of game. "I think the young man played well."

Broderick Washington – DL, Baltimore Ravens
One of three rookie Red Raiders to make their NFL debut, Washington was credited with a tackle as the Ravens rolled the Browns, 38-6.

Jakeem Grant – WR, Miami Dolphins
Grant hauled in three passes for 25 yards in Miami's 21-11 loss to New England and also lined up as the primary punt and kickoff returner.

Dakota Allen – LB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen received time as the backup linebacker for the Jaguars in their 27-20 win over the Colts.
Cody Davis – S, New England Patriots
Davis received time Sunday in New England's 21-11 win over Miami.
Sam Eguavoen – LB, Miami Dolphins
Received time in Miami's 21-11 loss to New England.
Le'Raven Clark – OL, Indianapolis Colts
Clark is listed as the backup right tackle for the Colts. He did not receive playing time in their 27-20 loss to Jacksonville to open the season.
Keke Coutee – WR, Houston Texans
Coutee was inactive as the Texans fell to Mahomes and the Chiefs on Thursday night, 34-20.
HEAD COACHES
Kliff Kingsbury – Arizona Cardinals
Kingsbury's second season in Arizona started with a 24-20 road win over the defending NFC Champions. It was the first time the Cardinals won in Week 1 since 2015. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was sensational in his debut in the Kingsbury offense, racking up 14 catches for 151 yards.

Anthony Lynn, Los Angeles Chargers
Lynn opened his fourth season as head coach of the Chargers with a 16-13 win over first overall pick Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals at brand new SoFi Stadium. Next up, the Chargers will face Mahomes and the reigning Super Bowl Champs this Sunday.
