Red Raiders Close Out Lakes Tennis Invite

FRISCO, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Lakes Tennis Invite with Oklahoma and Texas in Frisco on Sunday.
After three rounds of doubles and two rounds of singles on Friday and Saturday, the round-robin format tournament concluded with two rounds of singles play on Sunday.
Tech found success early on, as they took four of six matches in the early session. Senior Parker Wynn led the way on court one with a 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 decision over Martinez of Oklahoma. Junior Franco Ribero also won his first match at a 6-3, 7-5 clip over Sheehy of the Sooners. Isaac Arevalo continued a perfect weekend in solo play with a 6-2, 7-6 victory on court four versus Allen of Texas before Ilgiz Valiev wrapped the opening round with a 6-2, 7-5 win against Bullard of Texas.
In the fourth and final round of the tournament, Reed Collier secured a victory over Talluri of Texas in straight sets at 7-5, 6-2. Arevalo completed a 4-0 run in Frisco by taking down Rodriguez of Oklahoma at 6-3, 6-7, 10-8.
The Red Raiders will return to action at the Lubbock UTR Tournament on Oct. 2-5.
