Men's Tennis Announces Fall Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech men's tennis head coach Daniel Whitehead released the program's fall schedule on Thursday, which features 10 tournaments in the state of Texas.
The Red Raiders will begin their 2020 slate with a trip to Midland (Sept. 11-13) for a UTR event before heading to Dallas for a Big 12 showdown with Oklahoma and Texas (Sept. 18-20). Tech will then return home to Lubbock for yet another UTR tournament (Oct. 2-4).
The first of four events in Waco will take place at the Waco ITA Fall Circuit (Oct. 9-11) before the ITA Texas Regional Tournament (Oct. 23-25). Lubbock will host its own ITA Fall Circuit later that month (Oct. 23-26) while the third event in Waco is played out simultaneously at the Waco UTR tournament (Oct. 24-25).
In November, the Red Raiders will compete in the Big 12 Individual Championships in Fort Worth (Nov. 6-8) before wrapping up the semester with an ITA Fall Circuit event in College Station (Nov. 13-15) and the final competition in Waco (Nov. 20-23).
Tech is set to return eight players from a year ago, including Parker Wynn, who received an extra year of eligibility due to the shortened spring campaign. The program also added Dimitrios Azoidis, the 2019 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year, from Abilene Christian.
