Curley, Deaton named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior linebacker Patrick Curley and senior offensive lineman Dawson Deaton were announced on Thursday as members of the 2021 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by CoSIDA. The organization annually recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Deaton earns a nod to the Academic All-District® Football Team for the second-straight year while it is Curley's first appearance on the list.
All first team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 15.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include student-athletes from eight divisions, divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
