Senior LHP Erin Edmoundson was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the third time in her career.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Senior pitcher Erin Edmoundson has been named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week following her performance at the Texas A&M Invitational, the conference announced Tuesday. It is the third time Edmoundson has earned Pitcher of the Week honors in her career.
The lefty was dominant in the circle allowing just two earned runs in 13.1 innings of work, striking out nine batters and allowing just three walks.
Edmoundson's performance was highlighted by a 2-1 win over Texas A&M in which she gave up just three hits and kept the heart of the Aggies' lineup hitless. The senior from Deer Park, Texas led the Red Raiders to their first win over Texas A&M since 2012 and the first in College Station since 2007. She allowed just one extra base hit in two games.
Edmoundson previously won Pitcher of the Week honors last season after throwing her first career perfect game against Fairleigh Dickinson, and as a freshman in 2018.
