Tech’s Game at North Texas Cancelled

Red Raiders, Mean Green cancel as North Texas focuses on conference play.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's tilt with North Texas, scheduled for Sunday, has been cancelled. The Mean Green, in the midst of a C-USA schedule this spring, is looking to rest ahead of conference play.
"It's disappointing for sure," said head coach Tom Stone. "We just want games for our players at this point, but we certainly get it. Lots of teams, including us, have small spring rosters and if you lose some to COVID or injury you run the risk of losing the entire season. UNT wants to focus on winning their conference, and their circumstances have forced them to go down to one conference game per week only. We wish them the best and look forward to hosting them in Lubbock next fall."
Stone is actively searching for a new opponent to fill the weekend. Should one not be found, the team looks forward to adding one to their April slate.
Next for Tech's spring will be a Sat., April 17, match at Baylor. First touch is set for 2 p.m.
