Red Raiders to Face the Mavericks in Arlington

Lubbock, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team will hit the road this weekend to take on in-state foe UT-Arlington at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Red Raiders are coming off an impressive performance last Sunday against Utah lifting their overall record to 4-2. Tech did not drop a set versus the Utes, winning the match 7-0. Team captain (#37) Parker Wynn paced the squad partnering with Franco Ribero as the number one doubles team to defeated Geronimo Busleiman & Francisco Bastias 6-2. In the number one singles match, Wynn then faced Slava Shainyan and won 6-4, 6-2, handing Shainyan his first singles loss of the 2021 season.
The Mavericks currently sit at 1-4 coming off a tough match versus SMU. UT-Arlington rosters a tough doubles tandem of Alan Sau Franco and Alejandro Hayen who have locked in a win over Baylor's top doubles team in a match earlier this season.
