Martin, Aberg In Top-5 at Thunderbird Collegiate

PHOENIX, Arizona – Texas Tech sophomore Garrett Martin is at 9-under-par and in third place at the Thunderbird Collegiate to lead the Red Raiders who will go into the final round in fourth after two rounds on Friday at the Papago Golf Course.
The Red Raiders are at 23-under after 36 holes while TCU leads the tournament at 30-under. No. 3 Oklahoma State is in second at 26-under followed by Utah at 24-under. Tech shot 272-273 – 545 on the first day of the two-day, 54-hole event.
Martin opened the tournament with a career-low 65 with seven birdies and only one bogey before shooting a 3-under, 71 in the second round of the day. Tech sophomore Ludvig Aberg is in fifth after the first day at 8-under after posting a pair of 67s on Friday, while Carl Didrik Meen Fosaas is 5-under after posting 68-69.
Utah's Blake Tomlinson leads the tournament at 11-under after carding 65-66 – 131 while TCU's Jacob Skov Olesen is 10-under (67-65) which puts him in second and one shot ahead of Martin. The final round of the tournament is set for Saturday.
