Tech women’s tennis adds Andreea Lila

The native of Romania will join Tech ahead of the 2022-23 season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech women's tennis and head coach Todd Petty have signed Romania native Andreea Lila to National Letter of Intent.
Lila will join Tech women's tennis ahead of the 2022-23 season, after a successful junior career that included a runner up finish at the Romanian National Championships. Lila was ranked as high as No. 3 overall in Romania and has earned a ranking inside the Top-1400 of the WTA rankings.
The freshman joins Ozelm Uslu who signed with Tech earlier in the month.
HEAD COACH TODD PETTY ON LILA:
"Andreea is a very special young lady that is very hungry to get to the next level. She excited to be heading to Lubbock to earn her degree and play tennis. She will be an amazing teammate and I cannot wait to watch her grow both as a player and a person when she arrives on campus."
