Robinson named Assistant Coach of the Year

It’s the 6th overall time Robinson claims the award for the indoor season
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Sprints and hurdles assistant coach Calvin Robinson was named the 2022 Men's Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year in the Mountain Region, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Thursday afternoon.
Overall, Robinson has been honored with the indoor award six times now, with five of those as the Men's Assistant Coach of the Year, with the last honor coming in 2020.
Shelton was the only Red Raider and Big 12 athlete to compete in the 60 and 200 as. He and Courtney earned Second Team All-American honors while Terrence Jones, Jr. claimed Honorable Mention accolades.

Robinson's group of sprinters and hurdlers produced three Big 12 Champions and helped account for 61 points as the Red Raiders placed second at the conference meet. Jacolby Shelton claimed the 60 and 200 titles as he was dubbed the Highest Point Scorer of the Meet. Meanwhile, Vashaun Vascianna took home the 60m hurdles crown.
