Men ranked third, women ninth in latest USTFCCCA poll

The NCAA Indoor Championships will take place Mar. 11-12
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech track & field programs stayed in the top 10 in the week seven installment of the USTFCCCA poll released Monday afternoon. The men start the week ranked No. 3 while the women come in ranked No. 9.
Last week, the men ranked No. 5 as the women were ranked No. 8.
The Red Raiders are coming off a week break following the Big 12 Indoor Championships where each side placed second overall. This week, Tech travels to Birmingham, Ala., for the NCAA Indoor Championships. In the men's field, the Red Raiders are tied for the most entries, along with Arkansas, at 11. Jacolby Shelton is entered in two races as he will be competing in the 60m and 200m.
Ruth Usoro is the only other Red Raider entered in two competitions, as she will look to defend her triple jump title from a year ago, while also competing in the long jump
