Zahafi stays on The Bowerman List

Zahafi is the only Big 12 athlete on the list
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Middle-distance runner Moad Zahafi remained on the latest up to The Bowerman Watchlist the organization announced Thursday afternoon.
Zahafi has owned the No. 1 world and NCAA time in the 800 since April 15 as he clocked in a time of 1:43.69 at Florida's Tom Jones Memorial Invite.
When it comes to the all-time collegiate list, it sits No. 3 as well as the third-best time in Moroccan history. Zahafi competed this past weekend at the Big 12 Championships, posting the fastest prelim time at 1:46.81 – he did not run in the finals the next day.
The Moroccan is back in action next week when the Red Raiders travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the NCAA West Regionals.
