Red Raiders earn USTFCCCA Academic Team honors

Altogether, 33 Red Raiders received individual academic honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Both the Texas Tech men and women track and field programs earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

The women's side registered a 3.35 GPA, while the men's program produced a 3.26 GPA. The cumulative GPA (not 2021-22 academic year, not semester) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for indoor and/or outdoor track and field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, Overall, 19 men and 14 women athletes garnered All-Academic individual honors.

For individual honors, a 3.25 minimum GPA on a 4.0 scale is required, having completed at least two semesters. Student-athletes must have also finished the year ranked inside the top 96 in any championship individual event during the indoor campaign or have competed in any round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
