Jones set to compete in Thorpe Cup

Jones will be representing Team USA as they take on Germany in the heptathlon
LUBBOCK, Texas – Callie Jones will compete in the 2022 Thorpe Cup as Team USA takes on Team Germany in heptathlon/decathlon, this weekend on the campus of St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas.
The Thorpe Cup is an international track and field competition between USA and Germany. The teams are composed of seven men and seven women who compete in the decathlon and heptathlon. From there, the top five men's and top three women's scores are added together to determine the overall winners.
Jones is coming off her final season with Tech, finishing 14th in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. During the season, she registered a personal best mark of 5,864 points, placing second at the Big 12 meet – six points shy of the school record.
Competition for Jones starts Saturday at 10 a.m. beginning with the 100m hurdles.
