Lady Raiders ready for Big 12 Tipoff in Kansas City

LUBBOCK, Texas – Head Coach Krista Gerlich, sophomore Bailey Maupin, junior Rhyle McKinney and senior Jordyn Merritt are heading to Kansas City on Tuesday, Oct. 17 for the Big 12 Basketball Tipoff at the T-Mobile Center.
The Lady Raiders will meet with local and national media in multiple interviews throughout the day to preview the upcoming 2023-24 season. The Big 12 will be streaming media day on ESPN+, with a main set simulcast on ESPNU from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The telecast will be moderated by Missy Heidrick, while the on-set interviews will be with ESPN's Kris Budden, Hannah Wing and former Lady Raider great, Sheryl Swoopes. For more information, visit the Big 12's official media day website.
Texas Tech will host an exhibition game against Northern Arizona on Oct. 28 at 12 p.m., and all proceeds will be donated to a Maui relief fund. The Lady Raiders open their season the following week on Nov. 7 with a 6 p.m. game against UTRGV.
