Red Raiders Ink Maddy Wright

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball coach Craig Snider announced the signing of UNC-Charlotte transfer Maddy Wright on Monday. Wright will join the team this season and look to finish her collegiate career back in her home state of Texas.
Wright spent the last four seasons as a 49er because announcing her commitment to Texas Tech. While in Charlotte, Wright was named to the 2021 C-USA All-Conference Second Team as well as an All-Freshmen Team Selection.
She spent time in the circle and at the plate as she pitched 330.1 innings and had 306 at-bats. For her career, she is hitting .320 with 98 hits (39 for extra bases) and 75 RBIs. In the circle, she posted a 3.79 ERA with 217 strikeouts and 29 wins including a no-hitter against Connecticut on Feb. 18, 2022.
