Red Raiders release spring schedule

The Texas Tech men's tennis team has released its spring schedule as announced by head coach Michael Breler on Monday afternoon.

The 2024 schedule is comprised of 11 home matches and two tournaments.
Â
First, the Red Raiders open their season with three home matches as they take on Wichita State and New Mexico State in a doubleheader on Jan. 20, before hosting Abilene Christian on Jan. 21. Then, Tech will head to Los Angeles to participate in ITA Kickoff Weekend. They'll play San Diego on Jan. 27, then either USC or SMU on Jan. 28.

Tech fans will have three chances to watch the team as they host a doubleheader against UTRGV on Feb. 9 and a match against UTSA on Feb. 11 before hitting the road for almost a month.

During their road trip, the Red Raiders will take on Nebraska in Lincoln on Feb. 23 before facing Tulsa in the same city the following day. The team heads to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for a match at Middle Tennessee on March 1 and then travels to Tennessee Tech the next day for another contest.

The Red Raiders are home on March 8 for a showdown with the New Mexico Lobos, then take a trip back to California when they participate in the Ed Collins Invite from March 15-17 in San Diego.

Tech begins Big 12 play at the McLeod Tennis Complex by hosting the Sooners of Oklahoma on March 21 and the Cowboys of Oklahoma State on March 23. Texas Tech heads to Waco for a match against Baylor on March 28, but will be home again on March 30 for a match against Texas.

The Red Raiders are on the road for the next two competitions as they go to UCF on April 4 and to TCU on April 6. Then, the Red Raiders close out conference play against BYU on April 13, before heading to Stillwater, Okla., for the Big 12 Tournament on April 19-21.
