Tech stays top-25 going into Big 12 meet

The men have been ranked No. 3 since week three
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Both the men and women Texas Tech track and field team remain inside the top-25 heading into the Big 12 conference meet this weekend.
The men stayed at No. 3 for the third-straight week while the women moved up one spot to No. 14.
Tech hosted its final regular season indoor meet last Friday. Halena Rahmaan highlighted the meet right from the start, breaking the school's 1000m record with a time of 2:48.06. The previous record was held by Devin Bailey back on Feb. 25, 2011, with a time of 2:48.46.
Edward Rush clocked in at 4:01.75 (PB) in the mile and Colton Naffziger put on a season-best performance going 5.22m (17-1 ½) in the pole vault.

Tech hosts the Big 12 Indoor Championships Feb. 24-25 inside the Sports Performance Center. Friday morning begins at 10 a.m. with the multi athletes.
