Jones garners weekly Big 12 honor

Jones is expected to run next weekend when the team travels to Florida
IRVING, Texas – Terrence Jones was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon. He shared the honor along with Texas' Leo Neugebauer.
Tech travels to Tucson for the Jim Click Shootout hosted by Arizona Thursday-Saturday
Jones ran the fastest time in the world up to this point as he clocked in at 20.05 (0.2) at the Texas Relays. On top of it being his season opener, it was the first time Jones ran a 200m since May of 2021. His time proved to be a new Texas Relays meet record.
