Kailey Wyckoff named D1 Softball Freshman All-American

LUBBOCK, Texas – Kailey Wyckoff's stellar freshman campaign has been capped off with D1 Softball Freshman All-American honors, the organization announced Monday.
The Katy, Texas garners the award after already being tabbed the Big 12 Freshman of Year, All-Big 12 Second Team selection, a unanimous All-Big 12 Freshman Team selection and an NFCA All-Region Third Team selection.
Her .393 batting average ranks fifth in Tech's single-season program record while her .740 slugging percentage ranks fourth and her 111 total bases and 15 doubles rank seventh.
The freshman split time as an outfielder and catcher, seeing the majority of her starts in right field during conference action. D1 Softball named her a Freshman All-American as an outfielder.
