Tech draws Los Angeles pod for ITA Kickoff Weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis team is traveling to Los Angeles for the 2024 ITA Kickoff Weekend as the Red Raiders open with a match against the San Diego Toreros.
The Regional also includes host and one-seed Southern California and four-seed Southern Methodist.
ITA Kickoff Weekend will take place next season on Jan. 26-29, 2024. Tech will take on San Diego first, while USC and SMU will play one another.
The two winners of these matches will play the following day for a spot in the 2024 ITA Indoor Team Championships and the two losers will play in a consolation match.
Texas Tech made its 19th appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season after being selected for the Columbus Regional. Finishing the season ranked No. 33 as a team, the Red Raiders had one player ranked in singles at the end of year as Olle Wallin checked in at No. 57. Wallin also qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships where he faced Columbia's Michael Zheng in the first round.
