Tech Baseball announces complete 2025 schedule

The Red Raiders will play nine different NCAA Participants from 2024 including CWS participant UNC
LUBBOCK, Texas – As the fall continues to wind down and the season draws closer, Texas Tech Baseball in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference announced its complete 2025 schedule Thursday afternoon.
Highlighted by an opening weekend trip to North Carolina and the home opening-weekend against UC-Irvine, the Red Raiders schedule features nine teams that made the postseason in 2024 once again highlighted by the opening weekend (Feb. 14-16) at North Carolina.
Following the three-game set with Tar Heels, the Red Raiders will return home for the second weekend of the season and a three-game set with UC Irvine (Feb. 21-23). The Anteaters went 45-14 in 2024 and advanced to the Corvallis Regional Final.
The Red Raiders are set to close out the month of February in Las Vegas, as they will compete in the second iteration of the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic at Las Vegas Ballpark. The event will begin on Feb. 28 with a 4 p.m. (CT)/2 p.m. (PT) matchup against Illinois and will continue Saturday night (Mar. 1) with an 8 p.m. (CT)/6 p.m. (PT) clash with former Big 12 foe Texas. The Red Raiders will close the three-day event on Sunday (Mar. 2) with a 5 p.m. (CT)/3 p.m. (PT) date with Washington.
A quick two-game midweek series at 'The Rip' against UC San Diego is scheduled for Mar. 4-5, before the Red Raiders hit the road for the longest roadtrip (six games) of the season beginning at 2024 NCAA participant Grand Canyon (Mar. 7-9).
Following the final non-conference weekend of the season, the Red Raiders open Big 12 Conference play at Houston (Mar. 14-16).
A Tuesday night midweek against New Mexico (Mar. 18) jumpstarts a five-game homestand that features a weekend series with TCU (Mar. 21-23) and a Tuesday afternoon midweek against Tarleton State (Mar. 25)
2024 Super Regional participant Kansas State awaits Tech next, as the Red Raiders will head to Manhattan (Mar. 28-30) to close the month of March.
After a midweek against former Big 12 rival Oklahoma (Apr. 1) in Frisco, the Red Raiders will return to Lubbock for the first weekend series against Cincinnati (Apr. 4-6) in program history. The Red Raiders and Bearcats have met just once all-time, the 10-5 Texas Tech victory in the 2024 Big 12 Championships.
With April fully underway, the Red Raiders will hit the road for the first midweek of the season's third month when they head to Albuquerque for a matchup at New Mexico (Apr. 8) before returning home for a weekend set against Baylor (Apr. 11-13).
The City of Phoenix comes calling for Tech once again on Easter weekend (Apr. 17-19) when the Red Raiders and Arizona State meet for the first time as Big 12 Conference foes.
A home-and-home with ACU begins with a road trip to Abilene on Apr. 21 before the Wildcats return the favor with a trip to Lubbock the next night.
Another new Big 12 foe will make its first conference weekend trip to Lubbock on the weekend of Apr. 25, when Arizona heads to the 806. The midweek date with ACU kick starts the season-long six game homestand that concludes with a two-game set against UTRGV (Apr. 29-30).
The month of May takes Tech on its furthest trip of 2024 when a weekend series (May 2-5) at West Virginia summons the Red Raiders to Morgantown.
Following the trip to West Virginia, the Red Raiders return home for the final four games of the home slate when they welcome New Mexico State (May 6) and UCF (May 9-11) to Rip Griffin Park.
With just one week left in the regular season, the Red Raiders will head to Provo for the first time ever from May 15-17 to face BYU.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the programs of the Big 12 Conference will turn their attention to the new 12-team Big 12 Championships. Undergoing a format change in 2025, the Big 12 Tournament will be contested in a four-day single elimination format. Globe Life Field will once again host the event.
NCAA Regionals will begin on May 30 and run through June 2, with NCAA Super Regional set for the next week (Jun. 6-8). The eight teams that advance through the Super Regional round will convene in Omaha for the 2025 College World Series (Jun. 13-23).
