Softball announces full schedule for 2025 season

Tech's non-conference slate includes games against Texas and Texas A&M following the NFCA Leadoff Classic
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Gerry Glasco era is in full throttle but set to officially begin on February 6 as Texas Tech partakes in the prestigious NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Florida for the first time in program history. Softball announced its 50-game schedule for the highly anticipated 2025 season on Monday and it will consist of 20 home games and 30 away including tournaments in Austin and College Station against in-state foes Texas and Texas A&M.
The NFCA Leadoff Classic (Feb. 6-9), the University of Texas Tournament (Feb. 13-16) and the Texas A&M Tournament (Feb. 28 – Mar. 2) highlight the team's non-conference schedule. The Longhorns are in their first season in the SEC but remain on the schedule after facing Tech four times last season including once in the Big 12 Tournament.
The Red Raiders will have mid-week games against North Texas (Feb. 18 & Apr. 22), Abilene Christian (Apr. 2 & 29) and UT-Arlington (Apr. 23). All mid-week games are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. but subject to change.
During the Red Raiders off week from Big 12 play, they will head to Columbia, South Carolina to face the Gamecocks in a weekend series (Mar. 21-23).
Tech will also host a weekend tournament (Feb. 20-23) where it will play UTEP, Detroit Mercy, Indiana and University of Illinois-Chicago at Rocky Johnson Field.
Big 12 play will open up with a big series against Oklahoma State (Mar. 7-9) in Lubbock.
The NCAA Regionals will take place on May 15-18 with Super Regionals following the next weekend (May 22-25) and the Women's College World Series following that (May 29 – June 5).
Expected Game Times: (All times are subject to change)
Home conference games are expected to be the following times:
Game one: 6 pm
Game two: 4 pm (except OSU series – 2 pm)
Game three: 12 pm
Mid-weeks: 6 pm
