Gerry Glasco inks Mallie West, Timber Hensley, Cimone Edge and Mia Richards from the 2025 class
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball announced the signing of Mallie West, Mia Richards, Cimone Edge and Timber Hensley to its 2025 class on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day.
Gerry Glasco and staff have brought 15 potential student athletes on official visit, including transfers, and signed all but one of them since joining Texas Tech back in June.
Mallie West – New Waverly, Texas – LHP – Texas Hotshots (Houston) coached by Nathan Nelson
"Mallie is an incredible all-around athlete. She one of the top left-handed pitchers in the country with the ability to not only throw at high velocity, in the mid-60s, but she can also get you off-speed with a devastating change up," said Glasco.
"Not only can she pitch, but she can also play centerfield and first base at an elite level defensively and hit for both power and average. She also is a model student-athlete athlete who has very good academics. We believe in her talent and her personality and competitiveness will make her a leader in our program for years to come."
Cimone Edge – Dover, Delaware – 1B/C – New Jersey Intensity coached by Kevin O'Donnell
"Cimone is a tremendous hitter with ability to hit for power. She comes from a competitive and athletic family and plays for a very talented New Jersey Intensity travel ball program under veteran coach Kevin O'Donnell," said Glasco.
"We believe she can help us increase the power of our lineup in the future."
Timber Hensley – Durant, Oklahoma – P/UTL – Texas Hotshots (Dallas) coached by Ed Naudin
"Timber is a very versatile athlete that can pitch, play middle infield and hit for average and power. She is also a great student and has the ability to help us in many ways due to the many different positions she can play," said Glasco.
"When scouting Timber, we were extremely impressed with the fire, passion and intensity that she played the game with."
Mia Richards – Millsap, Texas – 1B/C – Texas Hotshots (Dallas) coached by Ed Naudin
"Mia is a big right handed power hitter out of Brock High School and has the capability to hit a lot of home runs in her career. Combined with Cimone, we believe this class can help us increase our home run and power numbers in the future," said Glasco.
