Three baseball contests elevated to ESPN networks

The Red Raiders will play on ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network throughout the 2024 season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Prior to the start of the 2024 season, ESPN and the Big 12 Conference have released the TV designations for the season.Â

After the selections, three Red Raider games will appear on national TV. Ironically, the three games are separated by just five days.

The first national TV game Tech will play in will come on Apr. 13 at TCU. Originally slated for a 4 p.m. first pitch on Big 12 Now on E+, the game will instead appear on ESPNU at 3 p.m.

Tech's other two national tv games will come the next Tuesday (Apr. 16) and Wednesday (Apr. 17) at Arkansas. The Tuesday night game will be a 7 p.m. first pitch on ESPN2, with the series finale set for a 4 p.m. start time on SEC Network.

Thursday's announcement also included four of the games of the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship being picked up by ESPNU, including the Championship game set for Sat, May 25.

The 21st-ranked Red Raiders begin the 2024 campaign on Feb. 16 when they open up the Shriners Children's Classic against No. 9 Tennessee. First pitch from Globe Life Field is set for 7 p.m.
