LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech volleyball program announced two more additions to its roster on Tuesday morning as Pac-12 transfers Aliyah McDonald and Jasmine Martin officially signed on to be Red Raiders.
Â
McDonald is entering her fifth year of college after spending four at Oregon State. She played three seasons there, leading the team in blocks in 2022 and 2023 with 67 and 111, respectively. McDonald is a Pearland, Texas native and attended Glenda Dawson High School.
Â
"Aliyah is a great addition to our team and I'm really excited to bring her back home to Texas and for her to be a Red Raider," said Head Coach Tony Graystone.
Â
"She's a physical player with a strong work ethic and will make us better both with her block and with her offense."
Â
Martin is also entering her fifth season after spending four at Washington State. With the Cougars, Martin totaled 103 kills and 64 blocks in 30 matches. Martin is originally from Bend, Oregon where she attended Mountain View High School.
Â
"Very happy to add Jasmine to our roster. She's a great athlete with a fast arm and will fit well with the speed of our offense," Graystone said.
Â
"Jasmine is a high energy player and is a lot of fun to watch, but she also knows how to win and will definitely have that mindset."
Â
The Red Raiders will compete in seven matches this spring, five of which will be in the Lubbock area.
