Texas Tech is left with two regular season meets after this week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Texas Tech track and field team completed its weekend around the country with Red Raiders competing in California, Florida and California Saturday.

Tom Jones (Florida)
Bradley Peralta and Mercy Umoibang kicked off the morning for Tech with new PB times in the 400m. Peralta went 47.17 as Umoibang went 54.43. The men's open triple jump section saw Garison Breeding take the win with a leap of 15.68m (51-5 ½).

Anne-Suzanna Fosther-Katta finished in second but was the top collegiate in the women's triple jump invite. She bounded 13.59m (44-7) (2.1w). Rosemary Chukwuma opened her 100m season going 10.23 (1.6w), good for third overall.

Shawn Brown opened his 100m season finishing sixth with a time of 10.28 (0.1w).

Both men's and women's 4x400 teams ended the day posting season bets times. The men finished fifth overall but fourth out of the collegiate team with a time of 3:03.69. The team consisted of Carl Hicks, Shaemar Uter, Charlie Bartholomew and Oskar Edlund.

The women's team combined for a time of 3:36.08. That team was made of Success Umukoro, Umoibang, Zariere Dumas and Magi' Harris.

Bryan Clay (California)
Jenna Carter and Sarah Zdansky each etched new personal bests in the 5000 open section. Carter placed 31^st at 17:41.49 as Zdansky finished 32^nd at 17:41.51.

John Jacobs (Oklahoma)
Zoe Burleson took first place with a discus heave of 56.23m (184-5) – her final throw of the day.

The men's discus crew placed 1-2-3 led by Devin Roberson at 59.99m (196-10). Jacob Mechler took second at 54.64 (179-3) (SB), while Konner Wood placed third at 54.22m (177-10) (PB).
