LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team travel to Waco this weekend for the annual Michael Johnson Invite hosted by Baylor Friday and Saturday at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium.

Last Time Out
The Red Raiders competed in three different meets across the country, including the Bryan Clay Invite (California), the Tom Jones Memorial Invite (Florida) and the John Jacobs Invite (Oklahoma).
Throughout the weekend, eight new marks/times were registered in the Texas Tech top-10 performance list between the men and women.
Rankings
The Texas Tech track and field team programs stayed inside the USTFCCCA top-10 in the week four rankings released by the organization Tuesday afternoon. The men moved up one spot this week to No. 5, while the women slipped four spots to No. 9.
In The Know
Tech will have over 50 entries this weekend in various events. Red Raider fans can expect a full squad when it comes to the throws section as well as the pole vault. Two freshmen in Leah Howard and Kyeese Hollands will represent the javelin crew as Hollands will also go in the discus. On the men's side, Devin Roberson enters the meet with the No. 10 mark in the country at 60.98m (200-1).
Kaitlyn Banas, Olivia Cade and Kashlee Dickinson are all set to go in the pole vault. Dickinson leads the crew this year clearing 4.26m (13-11 ¾).
Ruta Lasmane is expected to make her season debut in the long jump. It will be her second time competing this season since the Texas Relays (Mar. 30).
