Tech drops series to No. 21 Baylor on Sunday

WACO, Texas – Texas Tech (24-12, 4-8) got down early in Sunday's rubber match against No. 21 Baylor (21-14, 5-10) as the Bears went up 3-0 and did not relinquish lead, going on to win 11-3 in six innings.

The Red Raiders had some life in the fourth inning. Down 0-5, Tech strung together three straight hits from Arriana Villa, Demi Elder and Abbie Orrick to put up a run before Kennedy Crites drove in a run with a single.

Tech got the game within reach at 3-5, but Baylor answered right back with two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth while keeping the Red Raiders offense quiet.

Baylor scored in every inning that they batted in with the help of nine hits and three Tech errors.
