Texas Tech will help kick off Big 12 Media Days as the Red Raiders will be on site July 9 in Las Vegas
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will be represented by its five captains in just over a week at Big 12 Media Days as head coach Joey McGuire will be joined by senior running back Tahj Brooks, junior quarterback Behren Morton, senior linebacker Bryce Ramirez, junior linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and senior offensive lineman Caleb Rogers.
This will be the second time in front of the lights and cameras for both Rogers and Brooks, who were part of the Red Raider delegation to Big 12 Media Days ahead of the 2023 season for Rogers and a year ago for Brooks. It will be the first appearance at the conference preview event for the Red Raiders' other three captains.
Texas Tech will be one of eight schools to open the event July 9 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. In addition to the Red Raiders, the Big 12 will have Cincinnati, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU as well as new members Utah and Arizona State on site for the first of two days in front of media from across the country.
McGuire is tentatively set to join the ESPNU set around 1:40 p.m. CT that afternoon with his press conference to follow immediately minutes later from the main stage at Allegiant Stadium. The Red Raiders are also slated to meet with both Big 12 television partners in FOX and ESPN as part of a full schedule that will be announced closer to the event.
ESPNU will have extensive coverage of the two-day event, which will originate from Las Vegas for the first time. Coverage can also be found both days via Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
