Notes:
- Texas Tech returns to the Inverness Intercollegiate after winning their last two appearances (2022, 2019).
- Inverness Club was ranked No. 58 in the Golf Digest's 2023-2024 Top 100 Golf Courses in the United States. The Club was founded in 1903 and hosted the 2009 NCAA Men's Golf Championship, four U.S. Opens, and two PGA Championships along with a few other prestigious tournaments.
- The field includes five top-10Â teams going into the 2024-2025 season and seven of the top 35.
- At the most recent Inverness Intercollegiate visit for the Red Raiders in 2022, a then-sophomore Calum Scott claimed second overall after shooting 68-69-71 to finish 5-under-par.
- Calum Scott is the only returning player for Texas Tech from the 2022 Inverness Intercollegiate. Last season Scott led the team in average stroke play with 70.9 strokes over 41 rounds. Scott goes into this season as a Preseason First Team All-American. He is also on the Preseason Fred Haskins Award Watchlist.
- Freshman, Connor Graham will make his first appearance for the Red Raiders at the Inverness Intercollegiate. He is a Scottish Open winner who has competed in both the Walker Cup and the Junior Ryder Cup and reached as high as first in the U18 European Golf Rankings.
- Senior, Charlie DeLong will play his first fall tournament for the Red Raiders after transferring to Texas Tech mid-season earlier this year. Â DeLong started in four spring events last year along with the Big 12 Championship. DeLong also won both the Prestige and the All-American Intercollegiate as an individual earlier this year.
- Returning sophomores Price Hill and Tim Wiedemeyer round out the Red Raiders' starting five with Ben Gregg competing as an individual. All of them have started for the Red Raiders in some capacity during their freshmen year. Gregg and Hill were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team as well.
- This tournament follows a familiar format for collegiate golf. The best four of the five scores count towards the team's score. 36 holes will be played on Monday, September 9th and the final 18 will be played on Tuesday, September 10th. Monday is a shotgun start and tee times will be assigned for the final 18 holes on Tuesday.Â
