Tech and OU will meet for the 27th-straight season
LUBBOCK, Texas – A familiar foe will once again appear on the 2025 Texas Tech Baseball schedule, as Tech and Oklahoma are due to renew their rivalry on Tuesday, Apr. 1 at Riders Field in Frisco.

As part of a joint announcement between the AA affiliate of the Rangers (Frisco Roughriders), Peak Events and the two schools, tickets for the 6:30 p.m. matchup went on sale Tuesday and start at just $15.
Streaming information for the contest between Tech and OU will be released in the future.

The midweek contest between the Red Raiders and Sooners marks the 27th-straight season (excluding the COVID canceled 2019-20 season) that the two schools will meet on the diamond and the third time in four seasons that Tech and OU will meet in the midweek. Â

Tech and OU met in both 2021 and 2022 up in Amarillo at Hodgetown.

The April 1st matchup against OU highlights another strong schedule for the Red Raiders in 2025, as Tech will play 24 games against NCAA Tournament participants from 2024 including single contests against both OU and Texas as well as weekend series with Arizona, UC Irvine, UNC and UCF.

Texas Tech opens the 2025 season on Friday, Feb. 14 when they head to Chapel Hill for the start of a three-game series against No. 6 UNC. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. (CT). Â
