Lady Raiders back in Fort Worth

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team heads back to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the JAE Foundation Fall Open on Oct. 23-26.
The Lady Raiders are coming off the ITA Texas Regional tournament where Hailey Murphy advanced to the singles semifinals, while the pair of Murphy and Mariia Hlahola earned a doubles quarterfinals spot. Competing at the JAE Foundation Fall Open are Murphy, Arina Oreshchenkova, Elena Daskalova, Ella Brownback and Kseniia Logvin.
Brownback and Logvin lead the team with eight singles wins so far this fall, while both Daskalova and Murphy are second with five singles wins each. In doubles, Brownback also leads the way with eight victories, with Daskalova just behind with seven doubles wins.
In addition to Texas Tech, the teams participating in the tournament are TCU, SMU, BYU, Baylor, Rice, Notre Dame, Washington State and Nebraska. Texas Tech will begin doubles play on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. against Notre Dame and TCU.
