November 25, 2025 | Women's Tennis
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team has signed Havana Kadi as announced by head coach Adam Herendeen on Tuesday afternoon.
Â
"We are so thrilled to add Havana to our program for this incoming spring," associate head coach Patrick Fediuk said. "She fit exactly what we were looking for in terms of her ability and desire to be a part of our team, and we expect she will contribute right away. We can't wait to get started with her in January."
Â
Boasting a career-high ITF juniors ranking of No. 439, the North Vancouver, Canada native has won four ITF junior titles in her career with three coming on the doubles side. Her first doubles title came at the J30 Burnaby tournament after picking up four wins and only dropping one set. Kadi went back-to-back after claiming the doubles trophy in the J30 Winnipeg a couple weeks later. She and partner Ellana Kook earned three wins without losing a set en route to the title.
Â
In June 2024, Kadi won her third doubles title at the J30 Winnipeg after totaling three victories at the tournament. The following month, Kadi claimed her first singles title at the J30 Kamloops. In that tournament, she won four matches, highlighted by wins over Lilian Liu (ITF 423) and Amy Lu (ITF 796).
Â
Earning a career-best national ranking of No. 34 and ranked No. 2 in British Columbia, Kadi holds an overall singles record of 23-15 with three wins coming over Blue-Chip recruits. Kadi is set to join the Lady Raiders this January.
