Brown named Big 12 Athlete of the Week

It’s the first career weekly honor for Brown
IRVING, Texas – Texas Tech senior sprinter Shawn Brown was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Brown earns his first career weekly honor after clocking in at 6.52 in the 60m sprint this past weekend at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic, putting him No. 3 in the nation and sixth in the world. His time leads the Big 12 with two weeks to go before the conference championships.
In this week's final regular season meet of the year, Brown is slated to go only in the 200m, where he holds a season best time of 20.62.
